In southern Mexico, on the slopes of the Sierra Madre (Chiapas), this coffee is grown by small indigenous farmers according to organic and sustainable specifications. Maya Mexico is mildly aromatic, with a medium body, discreet acidity and captivates with light hazelnut notes. In addition, the aroma is characterised by nougat and red grapes.
Profits earned by the farmers and cooperatives are invested within the community as well as used to expand the existing plantations and purchase new agricultural land.

Beschreibung
Im südlichen Mexico, an den Hängen der Sierra Madre (Chiapas), wird dieser Kaffee von indianischen Kleinbauern nach biologischen und nachhaltigen Vorgaben angebaut. Der Maya Mexico ist mild-aromatisch, mit mittlerem Körper, dezenter Säure und besticht durch leichte Haselnussnoten. Daneben ist das Aroma von Nougat und roten Trauben geprägt Erwirtschaftete Gewinne der Bauern und Kooperativen werden, sowohl innerhalb der Gemeinde investiert, als auch zum Ausbau der vorhandenen Plantagen und dem Zukauf neuer Agrarflächen verwendet.
